This kit works on all GM 1500 series Pickups and SUV’s…yes, it works with ALL OF THEM…every model, all trim levels and engine sizes…if you have a work truck or an Escalade this kit will work.
This Truxxx lift kit increases the front height 1 – 2.5″ from stock with our exclusive adjustable design ( the 406010 is a better kit than the 406009 if you are running aftermarket or replacement axles as it has a slightly different lower mount and more upper plates for a better strut centering adjustment)
This kit came about way back in 2007 ( yes, we have been making it that long…) and the overall geometry of the GM1500 has remained unchanged all these years…there have been part upgrades, control arm changes, steering parts changes but the basic geometry of the GM1500 has remained constant…and that is the math that matters!
2007 was when the GM1500 came out with the front strut suspension instead of the torsion bars. We designed this kit to keep the front strut centered in relation to all suspension components, maximizing life on critical front end parts and optimizing ride quality!
We use a combination of a lower strut mount along with upper strut shims that allow a super simple clean install that also works with almost any type of front strut – stock, aftermarket, replacement – the simplicity of this design will allow you to position the strut right where it needs to be.
This kit is made out of steel – we use DOM tubing with a welded center bar and a combination of 10.9 & 12.9 metric fasteners…we cut no corners ( others have copied this kit using plastic, rubber, offshore steel…lots of things we don’t think suspension should be made of) because all that matters is that after the kit is installed, it stays together and keeps your suspension where it is supposed to be – bolted to the truck!
This kit allows for 33″ tall tires to be installed when used on a stock offset style wheel….without trimming the lower fenders we have not fit a 33×12.50R17 (**you can make them fit but it does require some sheet metal slicing at the bottom of the front fenders**) but we have fit tens if not hundreds of thousands of these trucks with something like a 285/70R17 ( on a 17×8.5 +10mm offset wheel) so use those kind of numbers as your guideline…we have used 285/70R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers and Terra Grapplers on a bunch of our GM shop trucks over the last 20 years…
***we suggest to always install the kit before buying tires and wheels – it seems EVERY manufacturer of tires uses a different tape measure and so do most rim manufacturer’s…just save some headache, install the kit first***
All of our kits are a direct bolt in, simple and easy to install and require no modifications to your vehicle**
These kits retain the stock ride quality of your truck.
These kits work with your OEM shocks or your choice of aftermarket and retain the stock ride quality of your truck, keep your axles centered and at safe angles and allow your suspension to operate as GM intended it too.
